ISOPOW is a non-profit scientific society and a Standing Committee of IUFoST. The
activities aim at progressing the understanding of the properties of water in food and related
biological systems, and the exploitation of this understanding in improved raw materials, products and
processes in the food, pharmaceutical or related industries. The first symposium on Water Relations of
Foods was held at the University of Strathclyde (Scotland) in September 1974. Subsequently it was held
in various countries and now we are excited to announce that the 16th edition will be held in Singapore.
